NIP/TUCK star JOELY RICHARDSON is so terrified of walking the red carpet, she turns into a 'different person'.

JOELY RICHARDSON

The actress hates celebrity events so much, she doesn't recognise herself when she sees photos or film footage - and understands why she's often thought of as an "icy" star.

She says, "(It's a common misconception) I'm icy. It's very difficult when there are pictures taken on the red carpet.

"I find those things so terrifying that another persona just kicks in. I don't recognise myself."
