BORRELL LANDS MOVIE ROLE

RAZORLIGHT frontman JOHNNY BORRELL has turned his attention to acting - landing a role in IRVINE WELSH's latest movie THE MEAT TRADE.

Johnny Borrell arrived at Burberry and Vanity Fair Portraits opening night held at the National Portrait Gallery. London, England - 11.02.08

The British rocker will play a poor Irish musician who is killed by two grave robbers, played by Colin Firth and Robert Carlyle.

The film - due to be released later this year (08) - will be a modern take on the chilling 19th century Scottish West Port murders by brutal body snatchers William Burke and William Hare.

The 27-year-old says, "It's going to be so much fun. I love horror and I'm a really big fan of Irvine Welsh's work. I loved Trainspotting."
