MADONNA AND RITCHIE SLEEP WITH THEIR CELL PHONES

Pop superstar MADONNA and her husband GUY RITCHIE both sleep with their cell phones under their pillows - insisting their behaviour is 'practical'.

The 49-year-old Material Girl claims she sleeps with her BlackBerry in bed each night - because she likes to make notes on it if she remembers anything she has to do mid-slumber.

But the megastar denies her habit is "unromantic" because her filmmaking husband plays with his phone until she comes to bed.

She says, "We lie right next to each other with our Blackberrys under our pillows. It's not unromantic, it's practical. I'm sure loads of couples have their BlackBerrys in bed with them.

"I often wake up in the middle of the night and remember that I've forgotten something, so I jump up and make notes.

"Guy's always waiting for me to come to bed, so he plays Brick on his BlackBerry until I'm ready."
