Troubled singer AMY WINEHOUSE has been offered a lucrative deal with top fashion designer ROBERTO CAVALLI, according to reports.
Amy Winehouse leaving her London home to visit her husband Blake in prison. London, England - 27.03.08
The Back To Black hitmaker is alleged to be on the verge of signing a contract with the Italian fashion mogul - meaning she would receive a constant supply of his garments in return for her agreeing to wear them to public functions and gigs.
According to British newspaper the Daily Mirror, the offer came after Cavalli's close friend Victoria Beckham told him she was a fan of Winehouse's style.
A source tells the paper, "Cavalli was suitably taken in by what Victoria had to say that he's now determined to get Amy on board."
Recently the Spice Girl hailed Winehouse a "fashion icon" in an interview, saying, "She has a real sense of style that I love. She is a fashion icon because she is unique."
A spokesman for Winehouse says, "Amy is considering many offers at the moment."

LATEST: BABYSHAMBLES frontman PETE DOHERTY has failed to honour his promise to buy a guitar from a music store where he played an impromptu gig earlier this month (Mar08).
The 29-year-old treated shoppers to a performance in a Reading, England music store, but his music-making was cut short after he accidentally broke a string on his guitar.
And despite the mishap, it seemed Doherty was impressed with the goods on offer at the Music Man shop - even asking owner Peter Sirrell to leave aside a $300 (GBP150) guitar which he would return to pay for.
But the singer has failed to honour his potential purchase, and hasn't been seen in the store since the mini-gig.
Sirrell says, "I'm not surprised he didn't come back - he didn't seem too with it (in a fit mental state)."

British singer RICK ASTLEY is heading for a career revival - after an internet prank turned him into an online phenomenon.
The singer/songwriter's 1980s smash-hit Never Gonna Give You Up has had a record 14.5 million hits on video networking site YouTube.com after cheeky internet schemers tricked website users by posting the link under scandalous news headlines. However, when curious readers clicked on to the link to get the story in full, they were instead directed straight to Astley's camp music promo.
The result of the news spoofs has made the veteran star's video outing one of the most watched videoclips on YouTube.com.
And Astley, who topped both the U.K. and U.S. charts with the track in his heyday, can't believe his luck.
He tells the Los Angeles Times newspaper, "It's a bit strange to have videos of when you were a young guy out on the internet. It makes me laugh - I'm sure it annoys a lot of other people.
"(But) it's a bit spooky. It's just one of those odd things when something gets picked up and people run with it. That's what's brilliant about the internet."

Paris Hilton leaving Cologne Hilton hotel. Cologne, Germany - 29.03.08
The reality TV star is currently touring with boyfriend Benji Madden and his band Good Charlotte in Europe, with the pair squeezing in a romantic sightseeing tour together in Prague on Sunday (30Mar08).
But their plans were scuppered when the 27-year-old's presence led to hysteria amongst photographers clambering to take her picture, with a major fight breaking out amongst rival snappers.
And after seeking solace in a local restaurant in Prague's famous Staromestska Square, Hilton fell trying to escape the paparazzi as she tried to make her exit from the eaterie.
It's not the first time Hilton's presence in Europe on the Good Charlotte tour has incited violence among snappers - last Thursday (27Mar08) she sparked riots at Istanbul airport in Turkey, ahead of her stint as a judge in the Miss Turkey 2008 contest.

ROLLING STONES rocker KEITH RICHARDS refused to turn his back on drugs completely after a number of brushes with death - he still smokes marijuana 'all the damn time'.
The guitarist was addicted to heroin at the height of the hellraising band's 1970s heyday.
But his bad experiences haven't deterred him from maintaining one last illegal vice: "People thought I was going to die. I never did - as you can see. The drugs? Oh yeah, they were great.
"Drugs now… it's a very dodgy subject. I smoke my head off. I smoke weed all the damn time.
"There, you've got it. But that's my benign weed. That's all I take, that's all I do. But I do smoke - and I've got some really good hash."
And Richards has a grudge with officials who have banned smoking in public spaces in Britain, Ireland, California and New York: "This worldwide smoking ban is draconian, socially, politically-correct bullshit. They'll get over it. It's like Prohibition - they tried to stop booze once. Ha! Look what happened. It ruined America."

Director: George Clooney
Cast: George Clooney, Renee Zellweger, John Krasinski, Jonathan Pryce, Max Casella
Synopsis: Oscar® winners George Clooney and Renée Zellweger match wits in Leatherheads, a quick-witted romantic comedy set against the backdrop of America’s nascent pro-football league in 1925.
Clooney plays Dodge Connolly, a charming, brash football hero who is determined to guide his team from bar brawls to packed stadiums. But after the players lose their sponsor and the entire league faces certain collapse, Dodge convinces a college football star to join his ragtag ranks. The captain hopes his latest move will help the struggling sport finally capture the country’s attention.
Welcome to the team Carter Rutherford (John Krasinski), America’s favorite son. A golden-boy war hero who single-handedly forced multiple German soldiers to surrender in WWI, Carter has dashing good looks and unparalleled speed on the field. This new champ is almost too good to be true, and Lexie Littleton (Zellweger) aims to prove that’s the case.
A cub journalist playing in the big leagues, Lexie is a spitfire newswoman who suspects there are holes in Carter’s war story. But while she digs, the two teammates start to become serious off-field rivals for her fickle affections.
As the new game of pro-football becomes less like the freewheeling sport he knew and loved, Dodge must both fight to keep his guys together and to get the girl of his dreams. Finding that love and football have a surprisingly similar playbook, however, he has one maneuver he will save just for the fourth quarter…

ROLLING STONE SIR MICK JAGGER has warned fans he will never write an autobiography, because he hates thinking about the past.

SHINE A LIGHT
Check out THE STONES rockin' at Beacon Hall!
Christina Aguilera and Mick Jagger
Director: Martin Scorsese
Cast: Christina Aguilera, Keith Richards, Mick Jagger, Bill Clinton, Charlie Watts, Ron Wood
Synopsis: Academy Award®-winning filmmaker Martin Scorsese and the world's greatest rock n' roll band, The Rolling Stones, unite to bring the audiences the most extraordinary musical film event of the year. That's the day Paramount Classics, in association with Concert Productions International and Shangri-La Entertainment, will release 'Shine A Light,' a look at The Rolling Stones, the band that defined the very idea of what a rock & roll is, live through the eyes of Martin Scorsese. Fortissimo Films is the international sales agent. It's hard to overestimate the importance of the Rolling Stones in rock & roll history. The group, which formed in London in 1962, distilled so much of the music that had come before it and has exerted a decisive influence on so much that has come after. Only a handful of musicians in any genre achieve that stature, and the Stones stand proudly among them. For 'Shine A Light,' which filmed over two days at the intimate Beacon Theater in New York City in fall 2006, Scorsese assembled a legendary team of cinematographers to capture the raw energy of the legendary band. The Director of Photography, Oscar® winner Robert Richardson ('The Aviator,' 'JFK'), supervised the camera team comprised of several highly acclaimed cinematographers, including Oscar® winner John Toll ('The Last Samurai,' 'Braveheart'), Oscar® winner Andrew Lesnie ('The Lord of The Rings' trilogy, 'King Kong'), Oscar® nominee Stuart Dryburgh ('The Piano,' 'The Painted Veil'), Oscar® nominee Robert Elswit ('Magnolia,' 'Good Night and Good Luck'), Oscar® nominee Emmanuel Lubezki ('Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events,' 'Sleepy Hollow') and Ellen Kuras ('Summer of Sam,' 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind'). The film was edited by David Tedeschi, who most recently worked with Scorsese on the acclaimed Bob Dylan documentary 'No Direction Home: Bob Dylan.' Financed by Steve Bing's Shangri-La Entertainment and long-time Rolling Stones tour promoter Michael Cohl's Concert Productions International, the film was produced by Victoria Pearman, Michael Cohl, Zane Weiner and Steve Bing. The executive producers are Rolling Stones members Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ron Wood, with Jane Rose serving as co-executive producer.

HEATH LEDGER may have fathered a secret lovechild during a teenage affair with an older woman, his uncle has revealed.
Haydn Ledger, the estranged brother of the late actor's dad Kim, claims the un-named 25-year-old woman discovered she was pregnant after her romance with the then-17-year-old Ledger ended.
The woman in question was in a relationship with another man at the time. When the baby was born, it was presumed her boyfriend was the father, and he raised the child as his own.
But Hadyn Ledger tells News.com.au, "There is a very real possibility that Heath was the father."
Haydn fell out with Kim 20 years ago over the latter's handling of their late grandfather's estate.
If the rumours are true; Matilda, Ledger's two year old daughter with ex-fiancee Michelle Williams, would have to share his estate with a 10-year-old half brother or sister.
Ledger died on 22 January (08) from an accidental overdose of prescription drugs at his New York apartment.

LINDSAY LOHAN's father MICHAEL has hit out at the actress's decision to star in a new movie about murderer CHARLES MANSON - fearing it could ruin her career.
Michael Lohan leaving the Lindsay Lohan Photo Exhibition inspired by her tattoos. New York City, USA - 06.03.08
Lohan has signed to play Manson cult member Nancy Pittman in forthcoming film Manson Girls. 'Manson Family' members were responsible for the murders of seven people in the 1960s, including director Roman Polanski's actress wife Sharon Tate.
Michael Lohan, who recently reunited with the star following a spell in prison, is disappointed with his daughter's decision to accept the grisly role, and urges her to stick to the wholesome family films that helped her find fame.
He tells the New York Daily News, "I don't know who is making her decisions for her. But I just wish she would go back to those family-style films, The Parent Trap, Freaky Friday, you know.

GEORGE CLOONEY plans to walk away from acting before he hits 60, to concentrate on film-making full-time.
After finding fame infront of the camera, Clooney has been expanding into writing and directing in recent years, with the Oscar-nominated Good Night, and Good Luck and his new movie Leatherheads.
And the 46-year-old reveals he is prepared to make the switch full-time when he's too old to play leading men.
Clooney says, "I certainly would do that with the acting part.
"I'm fairly comfortable with the idea of growing into a grey-haired old character actor. But the reason I'm directing and writing is that it's a world that will allow me to be creative long after people stop wanting to see me in front of a camera."
