PRESLEY DESPERATE TO PLAY MUM AGAIN

New mother-to-be LISA MARIE PRESLEY is delighted to be pregnant - because her life feels empty when she's not raising children.

The 40-year-old was attending the opening night of PaleyFest on Friday (14Mar08) - where her late father Elvis Presley's '68 Comeback Special played at Hollywood's Arclight Cinerama Dome - when she told reporters her pregnancy has thus far gone without a hitch.

And Presley - who has two teenage children, daughter Riley, 18, and son Benjamin, 15, with ex-husband Danny Keough - is longing to occupy herself with the joys of motherhood again, admitting this is her calling in life.

She told People.com, "I'm doing all right (but) I'd rather be in bed right now. I don't really know what to do with myself when I'm not a mother. I just feel like I'm good at it.

"I'm all right at it, and my kids are teenagers, so I thought it was time to have another round. And my mother kind of did the same thing with my brother, so, it's just time."

The singer's mother Priscilla, who was also at the event, added, "It feels great to have a baby coming into the family - all of our kids are all grown. My son, of course my daughter is all grown with her kids, and now her children are grown, so it's a new experience - it's great!"

Presley - who was forced to reveal she is expecting earlier this month (Mar08) after intense media scrutiny over her weight gain - confirms her teenage kids are "very excited" at the prospect of a new sibling.
