British singing icon SIR CLIFF RICHARD has urged young music stars to be individual in their dress sense - because all modern-day artists "look the same".
The Wired For Sound star admits he was desperate to appear different to his contemporaries when he began his career, and so adopted some unique fashion choices as a result.
And Richard believes current pop stars should follow his example.
He says, "When I first started out in showbiz I didn't want to look like everyone else. So I went out and bought a pink jacket which made me different.
"I just don't understand now why the young artists all want to look the same. They all wear the same baggy trousers and the same baggy tops. I couldn't bear to look like the rest."
