RICHARDS' LIVE-IN BRAIN SURGEON

ROLLING STONE KEITH RICHARDS is so grateful to the brain surgeon who saved his life after a fall in 2006, he's moved the medic into his family home.

The 64-year-old rocker underwent a potentially fatal operation in April 2006 after falling out of a tree while on vacation in Fiji during a break in the group's A Bigger Bang world tour.

The surgery, performed by New Zealand native Andrew Law, was a success and Richards made a full recovery within weeks of the operation.

But Law was required by insurers to accompany the Rolling Stones for the rest of their tour to ensure Richards didn't suffer any complications - and the pair became so close, the neurosurgeon is now living with the Richards family, splitting his time between their mansions in Connecticut, America, and West Sussex, England.

And Law - who is also on the band's payroll - insists Richards is just like any other 64-year-old: "We go out an have fish and chips and a beer."
