NEWCOMER DUFFY SCORES NUMBER ONE ON U.K. SINGLES CHART

Soul newcomer DUFFY has ended DJ BASSHUNTER's five-week reign atop the U.K. singles chart - her new release MERCY has debuted at number one.

Welsh singer Duffy knocked the Swedish dance star into third position, with Nickelback's Rockstar holding on to number two.

Meanwhile, Jack Johnson's Sleep Through The Static remains the U.K.'s best-selling album, sitting at number one for a second consecutive week.

Nickelback's All The Right Reasons has climbed one place to number two, and Michael Jackson has made a return to the albums chart - his 25th anniversary edition of Thriller has entered at number three.
