PEEWEE QUITS KUMBIA ALL STARZ
KUMBIA ALL STARZ frontman PEEWEE has quit the group to seek solo success.
The Latino pop group confirmed the split in a statement on Friday (01Feb08), insisting they plan to replace the singer, real name Irvin Salinas.
Band leader A.B. Quintanilla III said, "In agreement with Peewee and other members of the group, we decided that they would continue their careers as solo artists."
He didn't reveal which other members of the band have quit.
He added, "From the bottom of my heart, I wish you all the very best and much success in your individual careers. They are extraordinary guys and we've had some beautiful moments together."
The Mami hitmakers are looking to audition fans for the vacant spots in the band.
