SPEARS FACES $500,000 LEGAL BILL

Troubled singer BRITNEY SPEARS may be landed with a $500,000 (GBP250,000) legal bill after KEVIN FEDERLINE's lawyer filed a motion requesting the singer be liable to pay court fees.

Federline's attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan has asked the court to order Spears to pay attorney's fees in her ongoing custody dispute with her ex-husband.

The sum includes $100,000 (GBP50,000) of fees Vincent will accumulate between now and the end of the custody trial, set for April (08).

If the motion is granted, Spears could be ordered to pay $500,000 in fees dating back to July last year (07).

A hearing on Kaplan's request is set for 10 March (08).
