MCCONAUGHEY REFUSES TO FIND OUT SEX OF BABY

Hollywood star MATTHEW McCONAUGHEY refuses to find out the sex of his unborn child - because he fears it will ruin the excitement of fatherhood.

The Sahara star is set to become a first-time dad after announcing earlier this month (Jan08) that his Brazilian girlfriend, Camilla Alves, is 12 weeks pregnant.

And the 38-year-old is desperate to contain the excitement of becoming a father by refusing to find out the baby's sex.

He says, "We want to keep the suspense as high as possible! I'm looking forward to the big adventure!

"One thing I've heard that's consistent is, 'whatever plans you make, throw them out the window!'"
