JUNO WRITER MISSED HER NOMINATION

JUNO screenwriter DIABLO CODY missed hearing the news she'd been nominated for her first Oscar, after falling out of bed.

Cody admits she was so excited about the movie's other nods, including Best Film and Best Actress for Ellen Page, she took a tumble.

The actress watched a telecast of the nomination announcement early on Tuesday morning (22Jan08) - and was thrilled to discover her movie was picking up a string of nods.

But she completely missed her own nod for Best Original Screenplay.

Cody explains, "I heard that Ellen Page got nominated, then that the director was nominated. I screamed myself hoarse and fell out of bed - and missed my nomination."
