WINEHOUSE'S DAD HOPES VIDEO WILL FORCE AMY TO QUIT DRUGS
AMY WINEHOUSE's father is praying a British tabloid's expose about the extent of the singer's drug use will convince her to kick her habit for good.

The troubled star was caught on video indulging in a major drugs binge by The Sun last week (18Jan08), and images from the shocking footage was published in the newspaper on Tuesday (22Jan08).
The video was filmed at Winehouse's East London apartment on Friday (18Jan08), and shows the singer snorting powdered ecstasy and lighting up a crack pipe.
And although the revelations were nothing new to dad Mitch Winehouse, he hopes the expose will make his talented daughter give up the drugs altogether.
He says, "(The) video of Amy taking drugs may well be the best thing that has ever happened to her.
"Of course it kills me to see my daughter on the front page of (the) newspaper like that. It's nothing short of devastating - thinking she wants to destroy herself. She'll be heart-broken about it all. But for all the hurt and pain, it may finally be the thing to focus her mind and convince her to get the help she needs to quit for good.
"No one recognises the problems more than her and seeing images of herself like that may make the difference. The painful thing is how well she's been doing in the past few weeks... Amy is very sick. "
On Tuesday evening, Winehouse's representative denied reports the singer had entered rehab, insisting she was just attending a "regular" medical appointment.
