LEMAR IS A DAD
British R+B star LEMAR has become a father for the first time - his longterm girlfriend has given birth to a baby girl.
The If There's Any Justice singer, 29, and his partner Charmaine Powell welcomed little Nyiema Obika at London's private Portland hospital on Saturday night (19Jan08). The newborn weighed in at a healthy seven pounds (3.17 kilograms).
A spokeswoman for the pop star says, "Lemar is overwhelmed on the birth of his beautiful daughter. Mother and little baby girl are both doing fine."
Lemar rose to fame after coming third on U.K. reality TV show Fame Academy in 2002.
