BOUNTY HUNTER STAR IN CUSTODY FOR LEWD ACT

DOG THE BOUNTY HUNTER star TIM CHAPMAN has been arrested in Hawaii after allegedly performing a lewd act in his truck.

Chapman - who is not related to his reality TV co-star Duane 'Dog' Chapman - was confronted by a security guard from a local shopping mall on Thursday night (03Jan08) when he was spotted naked in his vehicle.

According to reports, Chapman began to drive away after putting on some clothes, but lost control of the steering and veered into the sidewalk, almost running into the security guard.

Chapman turned himself into a Hawaiian police station five hours later - but claims he is completely innocent.

His attorney, Brook Hart, says, "It was simply a man who wet his pants with orange juice inadvertently and was changing them, doing nothing wrong at all and believing he had sufficient privacy to do it."

Police are currently investigating the incident to decide whether or not to charge the 42-year-old.
