PORTMAN LONGS FOR MOTHERHOOD

NATALIE PORTMAN is planning to quit acting to have children, describing motherhood as 'the greatest thing I can aspire to'.

But the star, who is currently dating fashion designer Nathan Bogle, is reluctant to ever wed, despite her parents' long and strong marriage.

Portman, who has in the past been linked with Moby, Gael Garcia Bernal and Jake Gyllenhaal, says, "I don't know about marriage. Divorce is so easy and that takes much of the meaning out of it.

"Committing to one person is sacred. But partnership and kids? Definitely. Motherhood is the greatest thing I can aspire to."
