RADIOHEAD'S MANAGER INSISTS TICKET PRICES ARE ACCEPTABLE

RADIOHEAD's manager BRYCE EDGE has defended the group's decision to charge fans $85 (GBP42.50)-a-ticket for their 2008 U.K. tour, insisting the price simply covers costs.

The British band are set to play a series of live dates from May (08), but devotees have been complaining about the increased price of tickets - some of which cost more than entrance to superstar Prince's residency at London's O2 Arena over the summer (07).

However, Edge claims the $85 price tag is a necessity to ensure a decent show.

Edge says, "We don't want to go on tour and lose money. It is expensive to put on the quality show people expect. It is a comparable price to artists of a similar stature."
