CRUISE HAILS YORKSHIRE PUDDING

Actor TOM CRUISE stunned a London photographer when he engaged him in a lengthy conversation - about his favourite Christmas dinner accompaniment.

Snapper Dennis Gill was busy photographing the Top Gun star, his wife Katie Holmes and their 20-month-old daughter Suri in London's Hyde Park earlier this month (Dec07) when the actor felt the sudden urge to emphatically endorse Yorkshire pudding - an oven-baked concoction of flour, eggs, milk and salt from the north-east of England.

And the Hollywood actor never allows a Christmas to go by without a portion or two of the savoury treat.

Gill recounts the conversation: "He said he was a very big fan of Yorkshire pudding and he'll be having it on Christmas Day - as he has done for the past few years because he loves it so much.

"He also had it in the bar a few times near his hotel - he said the strange thing is it comes in two sizes. You can get them small or very big - ones that fill your plate up and have food inside it. I told him the big one is the best, but they both taste the same."

Gill then recommended Cruise visit Yorkshire to take in its breathtaking countryside. The Hollywood star pledged to look the county up on the Internet, before walking off merrily with his family.
