Stars including WILL FERRELL and DAVID SPADE have donated to BRAD PITT's campaign to help raise funds for the victims of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Ferrell has adopted one of 150 houses Pitt's Make It Right campaign is building in the city's Lower Ninth Ward district to house those left homeless in the area worst hit by the 2005 disaster.

Pitt says, "We've had 12,000 people across America come in and donate. We've had people like Will Ferrell come in and adopt a house.

"Our initial goal was 150 houses, and we've got 52 houses that have been adopted, which means 52 families."

And the Ocean's Eleven actor wants Americans to continue to donate as much as they can afford to the fundraising effort, which ends next month (Jan08).

He adds, "We got two more weeks to go. I need people out there to come in and adopt the other 100 homes. And hopefully by that time we'll see this whole neighbourhood symbolically put back together."
