SPEARS' ILLNESS WAS SEVERE ANXIETY

BRITNEY SPEARS was forced to miss her court-ordered deposition on Wednesday morning (12Dec07) because she is suffering from severe anxiety.

Mark Vincent Kaplan makes a statement to report that Britney is unwell and will not be able to make the court-appointed disposition. Los Angeles, California - 12.12.07

The pop star was expected to give her deposition in her ongoing custody trial at the Los Angeles offices of her ex-husband Kevin Federline's attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan at 10am. But she failed to show up and Kaplan was told that she had a "general (medical) condition", meaning she could not attend.

And that "condition" has now been identified, thanks to Spears' dancer pal Sam Lufti.

In an email to People.com, he writes, "She's sick, both physically and high anxiety. Millions of press outside. It's too much."

A new date for Spears' deposition has been chosen, but not made public.
