RIHANNA CANCELS THREE U.K. GIGS

R&B star RIHANNA has disappointed fans in the U.K. after cancelling three forthcoming gigs on her European tour.

The singer was ordered by doctors to withdraw from performing commitments in England, including concerts in Nottingham on Saturday (08Dec07), Birmingham on Monday (10Dec07) and Bournemouth on Tuesday (11Dec07).

A statement issued by Birmingham's NEC insists Rihanna "appreciates the love and support of all her fans and wants nothing more than to see and connect with them".

A spokesperson for the star was unavailable for comment. It is unclear when the postponed gigs will be rescheduled.

Rihanna began her European tour in Paris last month (Nov07), and was due to close the series of dates in Moscow, Russia on 21 December (07).
