LATEST: Disastrous ticket sales for the London stage adaptation of DESPERATELY SEEKING SUSAN are estimated to have lost producers $7 million (GBP3.5 million) in its one-month run.
The West End show faces an early closure later this month (15Dec07) after failing to fill the Novello Theatre to its 1100 capacity, attracting on average a paltry 200 viewers a night.
The musical, which features a number of songs by American rock band Blondie, has been panned by critics blasting the production's "disjointed plot", "scrappy scenes" and "clunky choreography".
