MEL B'S DOG LOVES LIFE IN THE SUN
SPICE GIRLS star MELANIE BROWN has given her beloved Labrador a new lease of life - by taking him to Los Angeles with her.
The pop star fell for the dog - who she named Lord - when he was just three months old and took him home to her English country retreat.
But years of England's damp weather have taken their toll on Lord, who suffers from arthritis and other joint problems - and so his mistress decided the California sun would be the perfect remedy - and relocated him.
She says, "The bitter cold in England would have done him no favours."
And Lord loves his new home in the sun so much, he doesn't like the idea of joining Mel B on the road as she tours North America with the reunited Spice Girls.
She adds, "I've got a dog-sitter."
