SPICE GIRLS DENY CANCELLING ARGENTINE CONCERT

LATEST: The SPICE GIRLS have dismissed reports they've cancelled their only concert date in South America - blaming the misinformation on a 'fake' email.

An email sent to fans claimed the girl group had called off their upcoming gig in Buenos Aires, Argentina, because they were letting concerts in the U.K. and the U.S. take priority.

But the Spice Girls insist the email is a forgery and that they're planning to schedule the Buenos Aires show for February (08).

A spokesman says, "A story has appeared on several websites that includes a fake email and competition from the girls. The fake email claims that due to the demand so far in the U.K. and the U.S. this show is going to be cancelled.

"The email goes on to say that they will be running some competitions for their South American fans to travel to the U.K. to watch a show.

"This is not the case and this email is 100 per cent unofficial and has nothing to do with the Spice Girls."

The band kick off their world tour in Vancouver, Canada, on 2 December (07).
