British singer DUSTY SPRINGFIELD had an odd way of remembering the lyrics to her songs during gigs - she would scribble the words on her fingers with pen.
The late star - who succumbed to her battle with breast cancer in 1995 - could often be seen peeking at her heavily decorated hands while performing onstage.
Vicki Wickham, Springfield's long-time friend and manager, says, "We all laughed about the way she would write lyrics of her songs on her fingers.
"You'd think that the time she spent writing those words, she would be able to remember them. But I suppose it was some kind of a security blanket just in case she forgot them."
