JENKINS FOUND MEMOIRS THERAPEUTIC

Writing an autobiography helped KATHERINE JENKINS cope with the death of her father.

The singer, 27, found the writing process therapeutic following the death of her father from cancer 12 years ago (95), when she was just a teenager.

She says, "Writing it broke my heart, especially the bits about my father. But I wanted to talk about how cancer affected us all. I talk about lots in the book but mostly about the rollercoaster that has been my life so far. It's been great therapy for me.

"It cracks me up that I've written this book and I'm only 27. But people are always asking me how I got my record deal, what happened to me, how I cope and things like that, so I thought it was a good time to write about it."
