SPANISH FILM GREAT DEAD AT 86

Spanish film mogul FERNANDO FERNAN-GOMEZ has died in Madrid, aged 86.

Born in Lima, Peru, the actor/director made over 200 appearances in Spain's top TV series and films.

His big screen hits included 1992's Oscar-winning La Belle Epoque.

Fernan-Gomez received the Principe de Asturias prize and six Goyas, Spain's Oscars.
