THE SEX PISTOLS failed to make any money at the height of their fame in the 1970s - according to the band's frontman JOHN LYDON.
The Sex Pistols (Paul Cook, Sid Vicious, Johnny Rotten and Steve Jones)
Lydon, who is better known as Johnny Rotten, insists the band were living in poverty until they reunited for their global six-month Filthy Lucre Tour in 1996.
He says, "I love the money. But do you know how broke the Pistols were? Until that '96 reunion tour we never got a pay-off at all. We never saw a penny."
