MINNELLI SHEDS WEIGHT ON DANCING DIET

LIZA MINNELLI is set to wow fans with a new figure after shedding 40 pounds (18.1 kilograms) while preparing for her new song and dance programme.

The Cabaret star spent five hours a day working on dance routines for upcoming Kay Thompson tribute show, The Godmother + The Goddaughter, and her efforts have resulted in a svelte new look.

She says the last few months have been completely dedicated to rehearsals - and she hasn't had time for anything else.

She says, "I get up early, I work hard and I watch TV and I go to sleep. It sounds boring but I'm loving it."

And Minnelli loves the fact that dancing is a big deal in America - she's a big fan of reality TV show Dancing With The Stars, and she votes every week.
