WEST'S PLASTIC SURGEON DENIES RESPONSIBILITY FOR DEATH

The plastic surgeon who operated on KANYE WEST's mother DONDA insists he is not responsible for her death.

Dr. Donda West died suddenly on Saturday (10Nov07) at the Centinela Freeman Regional Medical Center in Los Angeles, following complications arising from cosmetic surgery.

However, surgeon Dr. Jan Adams denies making a mistake during the breast reduction and tummy tuck operation - or causing the hip-hop star's mother's death.

Adams claims it is likely she died from a heart attack, pulmonary embolism or massive vomiting, reports website TMZ.com.

He also admitted West often changed her mind about the operation during a four-month consultation period.

The L.A. County Coroner's Department will carry out an autopsy on Tuesday (13Nov07) to determine what killed the 58-year-old.

The Gold Digger rapper, who was in London when he heard the tragic news, has thanked fans for their messages of condolence.

He has also urged people to make a donation to the charity he co-founded with his mother - the Kanye West Foundation - instead of sending flowers.
