NEVER-SEEN-BEFORE BOWIE SNAP UNEARTHED

A never-before-seen booking photo of DAVID BOWIE has been unearthed 30 years after it was taken.

The snap was taken in Rochester, New York following the Life On Mars singer's arrest in March 1976 on a marijuana possession charge.

Bowie, who was 29 at the time and in his Thin White Duke persona, was arrested with rocker Iggy Pop at a Rochester hotel following a concert.

Bowie was held in the Monroe County jail for a few hours before being released.

The Rochester Police Department mug shot was taken three days after Bowie's arrest, when the performer appeared at the City Court for arraignment. The original of the unique photo is being put up for sale via popular website TheSmokingGun.com.
