DANCING WINSTONE FELT SILLY IN ANIMATION WET SUIT

British tough guy RAY WINSTONE felt ridiculous playing ancient hero BEOWULF in the animated adaptation of the epic poem because his day started with a silly jig while he was dressed in 'a wet suit'.

The Sexy Beast star loved the fact that his animated likeness was a strapping, toned Viking, but hated having to get into character.

Every day, computer experts had to turn Winstone into a three-dimensional, animated character by transferring nodules attached to a black one-piece suit into a digital image.

Winstone explains, "I'm standing there in this wet suit with this crash helmet thing on and you do feel naked. You really do feel vulnerable.

"I had to do a 'T' pose and lift my leg up and do a little dance before every take so the computer gets you, and I felt really stupid. I'm a 50 year-old man."

But his wife loved the transformation because it reminded her of Winstone when he was a toned boxer.

He adds, "My character has an eight pack stomach and my wife loves it. She pulled out a picture of me when I was 18 when I was boxing. I didn't look that good even then."
