MCCARTNEY PAYS TRIBUTE TO LINDA WITH FACTORY VISIT

SIR PAUL McCARTNEY stunned factory workers in Norfolk, England, on Monday (29Oct07) when he turned up for a surprise visit to honour the memory of his late wife, LINDA.

The former Beatle arrived by helicopter at the Hain Frozen Foods factory - the company which supplies the products for Linda McCartney's meat-free food range - with his photographer daughter Mary in tow.

The 65-year-old singer spent time chatting to staff at the Fakenham venue and even helped out on the production line as 38-year-old Mary - McCartney's daughter from his marriage to Linda - took pictures of the visit.

The late singer and animal rights activist launched Linda McCartney Foods following the success of her vegetarian cookbooks. She died of cancer in 1998.

McCartney is currently in the process of divorcing second wife, Heather Mills, who he split from in 2006 after four years of marriage.
