British 1970s sitcom SOME MOTHERS DO 'AVE 'EM is set to be remade for a U.S. audience.
The series, which followed the mishaps of disaster-prone Frank Spencer - played by Michael Crawford - is undergoing rewrites from BBC scriptwriters for media giant Fox.
Creator Raymond Allen insists he is delighted by the revival.
He says, "I never would have dreamt 35 years ago when I originally wrote the series that dearly loved by disastrous Frank would be creating havoc on American soil.
"It's a very exciting time... and a treasured moment of glory for Frank!"
Paul Telegady, of the BBC, says, "We have felt for a while now that Some Mothers Do 'Ave Em' would translate brilliantly across the pond."
