MINOGUE STATUE PLANNED FOR LONDON'S GAY DISTRICT

Pop superstar KYLIE MINOGUE is to be immortalised with a statue in London's famous gay district.

A bronze model of the Australian singer is planned for Old Compton Street after a team of the star's most loyal fans campaigned for planning permission.

The statue of the Spinning Around star wearing her famed gold hot pants will be placed on an arch over-looking the street.

A source told British newspaper the Daily Star, "We're having our very own goddess of love, in the form of Kylie. There are plans for a similar Kylie statue on Canal Street in Manchester. But London will be the first city to be blessed with her bronzed buttocks."
