STUBBORN CRUZ RISKS MISSING A FLIGHT TO AVOID SNAPPERS

Moody PENELOPE CRUZ risked missing a flight to Europe on Monday (15Oct07) when she refused to leave her car at Los Angeles International Airport until police moved paparazzi on.

Photographers trailed the pretty Spaniard from her home in Hollywood to LAX and then pounced when she was curbside at the airport departures terminal.

The actress then turned camera shy and refused to step out of the vehicle until the snappers had been moved on by airport police. This took more than 15 minutes and left stubborn Cruz with a mad dash through the airport to catch her flight.

The actress is furious with the paparazzi after one eagle-eyed snapper recently caught her embracing and kissing fellow Spaniard Javier Bardem during a romantic vacation in the Maldives in the Indian Ocean. The shot appeared just weeks after Cruz laughed off reports she was dating the actor.

But it's not the first time the sexy star has been at the top of the paparazzi's hotlist of celebrities - past romances with Tom Cruise and Matthew McConaughey made sure of that.
