HENDRIX + COUNTRY STARS ADDED TO WALK OF FAME

JIMI HENDRIX and beloved country icons VINCE GILL and BARBARA MANDRELL are to be inducted into the Music City Walk of Fame in Nashville, Tennessee.

The trio will join Rodney Crowell, songwriter Bob DiPiero and late producer Buddy Killen as the latest inductees next month (05Nov07).

All but Hendrix have obvious ties to the city's music scene; the guitar great moved to Nashville in 1962 after being discharged from the Army at nearby Fort Campbell in Kentucky.

He performed in Nashville at a series of city clubs before moving to New York.

The Music City Walk of Fame was created in 2006 to honour those who have made significant contributions to the musical heritage of Nashville.
