CHER GIVES FARRAH FRESH HOPE IN CANCER BATTLE

Pop superstar CHER has given her pal FARRAH FAWCETT a boost as the former CHARLIE'S ANGELS star battles cancer - by urging her to consider alternative medicine.

The Believe singer is a big fan of cancer treatments currently available in Germany, where experts use stem cell therapy to cure cancer - and she persuaded the ailing actress to consider a trip to Europe.

Fawcett successfully battled cancer over Christmas (06) and then discovered she had the disease again earlier this year (07).

Sources say, "Farrah went over to Cher's Malibu home, and the two had a heart-to-heart talk.

"Farrah talked about the alternative medicine treatment she was receiving at the world-renowned Leonardis Klinik in Germany. She said the doctors wanted her to come back for more, but she was beginning to lose hope that they could help.

"Cher has always been a big believer in alternative medicine and she demanded Farrah stay the course."
