KIEFER SUTHERLAND ARRESTED FOR DUI

Actor KIEFER SUTHERLAND was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in Hollywood in the early hours of Tuesday morning (25Sep07).

The 24 star was on his way home from a Fox network party when he was pulled over by police on the junction of La Cienega and Beverly at 1.35am after making an illegal U-turn. A breath test found him to have twice the legal limit of alcohol in his system, according to reports.

TMZ.com claims Sutherland, 40, was arrested for misdemeanor DUI and taken to Hollywood Police Station. He was released on $25,000 (£12,500) bail at 5.42am.

He must appear in court to answer the accusations on 16 October (07).
