ONE MILLION DESPERATE TO SEE LED ZEPPELIN PERFORMANCE

LED ZEPPELIN's decision to reunite for a one-off gig has delighted fans - with over one million devotees desperate to get tickets for the unique performance.

The group announced plans to reform for a special tribute concert last week (ends14Sep07) in honour of late music mogul Ahmet Ertegun, 27 years after they split.

And fans were keen to register for the ticket ballot for the 26 November (07) gig at London's O2 arena - the website recorded over one billion hits, while one million people managed to put their names down for the draw.

Concert promoter Harvey Goldsmith says, "We would like to thank all the fans for their support and we hope that all those fortunate to be successful will keep the tickets out of the hands of the touts."

Last week, the unprecedented demand for the 20,000 tickets available crashed the band's ballot registration website within minutes of the site going live on 12 September (07).

Registration for tickets is now closed.
