PROMOTERS SLAMMED FOR 'PROFANE' SNOOP DOGG CONCERTS
A concert promoter in the U.S has been criticised for giving the go-ahead to 'profane' concerts featuring rappers SNOOP DOGG and WU-TANG CLAN.

The Chicago Yachting Association complained to Chicago Park District officials at a meeting on Wednesday (12Sep07) and urged Clear Channel Entertainment to be more sensitive when booking acts at the Northerly Island Charter One Pavilion, which is owned by the Association.
The complaint arose after the venue played hosts to gigs by the Wu-Tang Clan on 26 August (07) and Snoop Dogg on 2 September (07), which both contained expletives and anti-police lyrics.
Frank Gagliano, of the Chicago Yachting Association, says, "They have the right to say it, but they should go somewhere children don't have to hear it."
Parks Superintendent Timothy Mitchell said that he warned organisers to be more conscious of any future acts they book because of families who live on their boats in the harbour.
He says, "When they were talking about Snoop Dogg, I thought they were talking about that little beagle that sits on top of the dog house in Peanuts.''
