Late soprano MARIS CALLAS' most intimate possessions will be auctioned in Italy later this year (07).
Private letters, photographs and musical scores from the opera singer's husband's estate will be sold at auction house Sotherby's in Milan in December (07).
The collection includes 63 love letters from Callas to husband Giovanni Battista Meneghini, concert gowns and rare photos of the star performing onstage.
Callas died in Paris in 1977, at age 53. Meneghini died in New York in 1981 aged 85.
