KID ROCK QUESTIONED BY POLICE

KID ROCK has been question by police after he attacked TOMMY LEE at Sunday's (09Sep07) MTV Video Music Awards.

Rock, real name Robert James Ritchie, was ejected from the ceremony in Las Vegas in front of thousands of fans after punching the Motley Crue drummer.

And while no arrest was made, Las Vegas Metro Police did question Ritchie, reports TMZ.com

Both rockers have married former Baywatch beauty Pamela Anderson - and although the actress was at the event it is unclear if she was the cause of the fight.

Rap producer Rich Nice says, "It looked like Tommy Lee initiated it because Kid Rock was ignoring him. And Tommy Lee kind of antagonized him. And then when Tommy Lee stood up, it looked a little weird, like 'Yo, what?'

"When Tommy stands up is when Kid hit him the first time with a backhand. And then Tommy Lee looked like he was trying to get at him to aggressively retaliate and then Kid Rock hits Tommy Lee again - bong. And then security grabs Tommy Lee in a headlock and pulls him off."

Lee married Pamela Anderson in 1995, before divorcing three years later (98) - while the former Baywatch beauty filed for divorce against Rock, real name Robert James Ritchie, just four months after they wed last August (07).
