Actress MARCIA MAE JONES has died. She was 83.
Jones passed away at the Motion Picture and Television Hospital in California on Wednesday (05Sep07) after catching an infection following a bout of pneumonia.
The star began her acting career at the tender age of two, when she appeared in the drama Mannequin, and the former child actress went on to enjoy a career spanning 47 years.
Jones, best known for her roles in movies like The Champ and Heidi, made her last major film outing in 1973's The Way We Were.
She is survived by her sons Robert and Tim, two grandchildren, and her brother Joseph Jones.
