DIANA LEGAL DOSSIER DISAPPEARS

The inquiry into the death of late British royal DIANA, PRINCESS OF WALES, has suffered a setback - the French legal dossier investigating the 1997 car crash has gone missing.

Diana and her boyfriend Dodi Fayed were killed in the tragic accident - which included a high-speed chase by paparazzi - in Paris, France 10 years ago, and the documents contain the full details of the 18-month inquiry which followed the couple's shocking death.

But lawyer Jean-Louis Pelletier, working for snapper Fabrice Chassery - one of the photographers involved in the case - says he was recently told the 6,000 page document was missing from French court archives at the Palais de Justice and he was therefore unable to view the official findings.

A spokesman for the Paris central court building confirms, "The paperwork is not immediately available."

New inquests into the deaths of the Princess and Fayed are due to commence at London's Royal Courts of Justice on 2 October (07).
