SMASHING PUMPKINS WOW U.K FESTIVAL

Reformed rockers THE SMASHING PUMPKINS wowed the crowds at England's Leeds Festival this weekend (25Aug07) before inviting fans to join them in the U.S for a cup of tea.

The band took centre stage for their first headlining slot for 12 years on Friday night (24Aug07) and poked fun at the crowd by offering them a traditional English beverage.

Frontman Billy Corgan jokes, "You can come over to Chicago for a cup of tea and play some rugby in my backyard, eat some blood sausage and slaughter a pig."
