Rapper KANYE WEST blames his infamous remark criticising U.S. President GEORGE W. BUSH's response to Hurricane Katrina on a 'character flaw' that leaves him unable to censor himself.
Kanye West performs at V Festival 2007 at Hylands Park - Day 2. Chelmsford, England - 19.08.07
West made headlines around the world when, during a live U.S. TV broadcast in 2005, he declared "George W. Bush doesn't care about black people".
And the 30-year-old claims he's been speaking from the heart without thinking about the consequences all his life.
He says, "It's almost a character flaw in me to be emotional and honest like that. Sometimes it works out; sometimes it can backfire on you."
