WINEHOUSE'S FATHER: 'I FEAR FOR AMY'S LIFE'

AMY WINEHOUSE's father has urged his pop star daughter to seek professional help following her recent health scare.

The singer was rushed to a London hospital on Thursday (09Aug07) reportedly caused by exhaustion and has been advised by medics to cancel a string of gigs allowing her time to recuperate.

But the star's father Mitch has expressed grave concern over his daughter's lifestyle and skeletal appearance.

He says, "She is skinny as anything and dehydrated and looks like she has just come from a concentration camp.

"She is barely eating. She is not sleeping. I try to get her to eat but that is easier said than done.

"I know that if she doesn't eat she is going to die. There is no reason for her to want to self-destruct like this."
