Oscar-winner SIR ANTHONY HOPKINS still gets 'paralysed with fear' around his fellow actors, despite more than 30 years in showbusiness.
The Silence of the Lambs actor, 69, gets nervous around big names of stage and screen, including his 84 Charing Cross Road co-star Dame Judi Dench.
He says, "Whenever I meet actors, too, I'm so nervous.
"I think back to people like Judi Dench, a perfectly charming, nice woman, and I'm so nervous around people like that. I don't know what it is. I am paralysed with fear."
The Welsh-born star, who now lives in California, admitted that his nerves were not the fault of other stars, adding, "It's me. I do have a chip on my shoulder. It's not bitterness but more a discomfort."
