THE THRILLS VOW TO BE NICE TO OTHER BANDS

Irish rockers THE THRILLS have vowed to refrain from slating other bands - after discovering musicians they badmouthed were actually "really nice".

The Big Sur stars were caught out when guitarist Daniel Ryan criticised the Yeah Yeah Yeahs despite the two bands never meeting.

And frontman Conor Deasy believes dissing other bands is just a hackneyed rock and roll cliche.

He says, "(Ryan) said something about them early on but when we met them they were really nice.

"Slagging off other bands is a tedious-by-numebers guide on how to be a rock star."
